We are thrilled to share our collaboration with Great Wolf Lodge, Niagara’s fun, family waterpark resort. In 2023, Great Wolf Lodge contacted Captivate to create a commercial that highlighted the experience of being a guest at this multi-attraction waterpark resort. From inception to completion, our team managed the 7 day production. Sending out a casting call, we gathered talent from across Ontario, creating various families and groups of individuals that would populate the film. May 7-13 is Emergency Preparedness Week, a national event that is supported by Public Safety Canada, encouraging all Canadians to be prepared for an emergency. Captivate was approached to create a video that highlights this year’s theme: Be Prepared. Know Your Risks. Partnering with the Niagara Region Fire Chiefs Association, we were able to help Canadians to know your risks and be prepared. This past summer the Captivate crew worked with Canadian singer Mel Monaco to create two music videos. The first video was shot on location in Toronto at MaketheFilms Studio utilizing their entirely white cyclorama room, letting Mel’s performance and vocals shine on her cover of Al Green’s Let’s Stay Together. The second video, a cover of Bill Withers’ Just the Two of Us, highlighted some of our favourite spots in the Niagara Region, including 13th Street Winery, Spicy Thai, downtown St. Catharines and Decew Falls Brewing Company.  It takes a great team to make great videos, and we could not have done…

The year is wrapping up, and we’re getting nostalgic and sentimental! One of our biggest projects in 2022 was the Niagara Regional Fire Chiefs Recruitment Video, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the effort from the hard working, fun loving Captivate crew! We are so excited to share this Recruitment Film created for the Niagara Regional Fire Chiefs Association. We were asked to write, storyboard, shoot and edit a narrative commercial that will inspire and motivate new volunteers to join the team. This video featured actual volunteer firefighters re-enacting real scenarios across the various municipalities throughout the region. This was a massive project, with a high demand for vehicles, tools, locations, and personnel.
